IMAGINARY STAGES
Interactive installations exhibition
“Imaginary Stages” is an exhibition formed by a collection of interactive installations based on performances from Luis Sartori do Vale, inviting the audience to experiment with part of its original props and set designs, having a chance to feel part of the performances itself.
Curated and idealised by Pablo Alvarez, the main challenge of the exhibition is to establish a reflexion in order to understand the artist’s perspective and processes, and the commons narratives in his career. The second challenge is to make the contemporary circus more accessible and interactive, passing through the visual arts to engage new audiences. It’s conceived as a touring exhibition, with the aim of bringing it to other venues and festivals in the future.
“Imaginary Stages are visual metaphors presented without a shell, sharing feelings in an intimate space through body, space and objects.” ~ Pablo Alvarez
